1. Welcome to BeRean Wall
BeRean Wall is an interactive biblical study workspace inspired by the ancient believers of Berea, who were commended in Acts 17:11 because they “received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.”
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of BeRean Wall. By accessing the website, creating an account, or participating in study sessions and discussions, you agree to use the service responsibly and in accordance with these Terms.
2. The Service
BeRean Wall provides tools designed to encourage disciplined, primary-text investigation of the Bible, including:
- Timed Study Sessions: A focused 15-minute search window symbolized by our visual candle timer, followed by an opportunity to write and articulate your comprehension.
- Scripture Lookup: In-app access to public-domain translations for comparative reading and verification.
- The Wall: A communal forum where scholars read, share, and discuss original comprehension essays.
- Peer Challenges: A mechanism for scholars to post constructive questions, textual glosses, or counterarguments directly to essays.
- Topic Proposals: Community-submitted study prompts for research across the Scriptures.
BeRean Wall is currently completely free to use. There are no fees, subscriptions, or paid tiers.
3. Accounts and Security
You may explore public Scripture lookups and read The Wall as a guest without an account. However, creating an account is required to participate in recorded study sessions, post comprehension essays, submit peer challenges, vote, earn milestone honors, or propose study topics.
When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
BeRean Wall is intended to be accessible to students of the Scriptures of all ages. Users of all backgrounds are welcome to learn, research, and reflect.
4. Community Guidelines
Scholarly inquiry thrives on mutual respect, intellectual humility, and rigorous adherence to primary sources. All participation on BeRean Wall is subject to our Community Guidelines:

- Primary-Text Accountability: Respect the literary, historical, and covenantal context of Scripture.

5. User-Generated Content and Ownership
You retain copyright and ownership of the original text of your comprehension essays, peer challenges, and topic suggestions.
By publishing content on BeRean Wall, you grant BeRean Wall a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to host, display, format, reproduce, and distribute that content as necessary to operate and maintain the service. This license allows other scholars to read, study, and respond to your contributions.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that infringes upon the intellectual property of others, violates the law, contains deceptive information, or breaches our Community Guidelines.
6. Public Contributions
When you submit an essay to The Wall or post a challenge to another scholar's work, that contribution becomes publicly accessible to any visitor to the website.
Because BeRean Wall is an open, all-ages platform, please exercise care when sharing. We strongly encourage you not to post private personal information—such as your real full name, phone number, home address, or sensitive private details—within public essays or challenges.
7. Moderation and Community Safety
To maintain a constructive and safe environment for study, BeRean Wall provides an in-app reporting mechanism allowing scholars to report inappropriate or abusive contributions.
BeRean Wall administrators may review reported content and take appropriate actions, including issuing warnings, hiding or removing content, restricting account actions, temporarily suspending accounts, or permanently terminating accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Moderation decisions are taken in good faith to protect the community and uphold high standards of study.
8. Account Deletion and Retained Content
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings dashboard. Account deletion is permanent.
When your account is deleted, your private profile details, login credentials, private notes, votes, milestone progress, and uploaded avatar images are permanently removed.
To preserve the continuity of communal study and historical discussion, essays posted to The Wall and peer challenges remain visible on the platform, but they are permanently dissociated from your identity and displayed anonymously under the author title Deleted Scholar.
9. Third-Party Services and Scripture Lookup
Certain platform features rely on third-party services and APIs, including passage lookup services that fetch public-domain Bible texts (such as the World English Bible). BeRean Wall does not control these external services and cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability or completeness.
10. Availability and Limitations
BeRean Wall is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we strive to maintain a reliable and secure platform, the service may occasionally experience interruptions, technical delays, modifications, or errors.
To the extent permitted by law, BeRean Wall disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of the website, its availability, or the fitness of the platform for any particular purpose.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as BeRean Wall introduces new features or refines platform policies. When changes occur, the updated document will be published directly on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
